Mr.Bristow has been DJ-ing professionally since 1998, but has been a certified vinyl junkie since he was in short trousers. Whether he's cutting and splicing hip hop, funk, and breaks, or blending house and disco, his sets are a guaranteed funk filled affair.

He's played at venues including Ministry Of Sound, Scala, Cargo, The Den, Space (Ibiza), 93 Feet East, Aquarium and many more.

He's had releases on Sub-Tek, Detox Recordings, Breakbeat Paradise Recordings, Tru:Funk, Funk Blasters, and Resense. As part of the production duo Mako & Mr Bristow, he has had several vinyl releases and received regular plays on The Craig Charles Funk & Soul Show.

He was resident at The Vinyl Touch - winner of ‘best small club event’ at the 2008 Breaks Poll Awards - alongside nu-skool breaks veterans Ed 209, Dr S Gachet, Swifty B & Ellis Dee.

In June 2009, Mr Bristow & Swifty.B featured on Eddy Temple Morris’s XFM show 'The Remix' - where they treated listeners to their unique blend of mash-up mayhem. The pair were also clear winners of a national DJ competition on dontstayin.com, resulting in them playing a storming set at Dance Island festival in Cambridge the same month. They were also placed in the top 10 of the first national Converse DJ competition, and were awarded the title of 'Best DJ Team.' Listen to the winning mix here.
